Kicking off the summer with yellowfin, bluefin and yellowtail

Captain Jake Hensley docked the Tribute this morning from a three and a half day trip with 43 yellowfin tuna (up to 50lbs) and 132 yellowtail.

Captain Mark Gillette took the Eclipse out to the north west in California waters to catch 38 bluefin tuna, 1 yellowfin tuna and 4 yellowtail for his two and a half day trip.

The San Diego's three quarter day trips have been on fire with the yellowtail counts. Captain Taro returned yesterday with 91 yellowtail. Taro was quoted, "they wanted to die on the fly lined baits" but also a few on the surface iron and yo yo iron.

Get ready, because things are heating up quickly.

The San Diego has called in with 91 yellowtail for their efforts on a three quarter day trip. Captain Jake Hensley aboard the Tribute has called in an update of 2 yellowfin tuna and 50 yellowtail for his first stop of the day. He has lots of time left since he's on the first day of a three and half day. Captain Adam aboard the Eclipse has 9 bluefin tuna over 60lbs on a three quarter day trip fishing US waters.
