"Cedros was slow again today," reported Bruce Smith for the Shogun June 25. "We hit spot after spot of yellowtail and they shunned us with only a few biters out of each. By the end of the day we had scratched a decent amount of fish, then we headed into the island to search for some premiums. At the second stop we found some big ones boiling around and had a really good calico bass bite going. If you wanted one of those yellows you had to stick with it and put a surface iron on their nose. The Salas 7x Green Mamba accounted for some more 30 to 36 pound fish."
