Prowler skipper Buzz Brizendine was hopeful for some good yellowtail fishing over the oncoming holiday weekend. He had found some fish at the Coronados earlier, but thought he might try fishing offshore this weekend.
"There's a little fish at all the spots at the islands," he noted.
Local anglers are waiting for the first sustained bite of the season.
