Captain Jeff Spafford checked in this morning with an audio update the from the Tomahawk out of Fisherman’s Landing in San Diego, CA.
We got a school of Bluefin Tuna marked up on the sonar right after we got out here. We hooked 2 Bluefin this morning and lost one. They are right around 90 pounds. We had an hour to an hour and a half battle with this big tuna.
Lots of fish down here. Great beautiful weather with flat calm ocean. Perfect conditions.

This report is going to wrap-up yesterday’s trip and update you on today’s current conditions. We finished our most recent trip with 15 Bluefin Tuna (40 to 80 pounds), 2 Yellowtail and 1 Dorado. Today we have been drifting for a couple hours an we have 3 big Bluefin Tuna on the boat (80 to 100 pounds). ...... Read More
