We basically traveled all day up the line to be in the local tuna grounds for our last day. We covered about 120 miles of good water and only had a couple of strikes on small tuna,no birds, and no kelps. Danny Johnson and I grew up in the same neighborhood and this was us over twenty years ago and here we are hoping for the same luck tomorrow.

8-10-2015We made it down to the yellowtail grounds and were prepared to settle in for some steady fishing. Although it was a little choppy, conditions were similar to how they have been and there was pretty good sign of fish. One can kind of see where this is going - as for whatever reason the fish were reluctant to bite. We looked in other likely areas and found fish for mostly the same results.
