We got out to the yellowtail grounds after a good night sleep in the anchorage ready for some action. All the components were lined up except for the groups of yellows we found today were reluctant to bite. After the few here, few there type yellowtail fishing - we tried breaking up the day with a few halibut drifts.
We had a little success as we seemed to get at least one per drift with Roger Healy having the hot halibut hand. Chris Burbach was gifted with a fish of a lifetime 56lb white sea bass.

We looked at a lot of different water today clean ,dirty, warm and cold as 14 hours of daylight really gives you that opportunity. We ended up in a very fishy zone loaded up with bird life and several spots of chipping 30 to 40lb bluefin tuna. We were very excited but in our love/hate relationship we love to fish for bluefin but we hate when they act like bluefin and do not bite. There has not been much sign...... Read More
