Capt. Brian Kiyohara backed the American Angler into Pt Loma Sportfishing at 6am with her second historical trip of 3 fish weighing in over 300lbs on one voyage. The gang finally saw nice weather the last couple days of travel - but the inclimate weather during the trip didn't stop them from producing a plentiful catch of yellowfin tuna, including 9 over 200lbs. A big thanks to Gary Teraoka from Accurate for his enthusiastic sponsorship and attention to detail before and during the trip. Also thanks to Jack Nielsen, owner of Accurate, who met the boat and greeted the anglers with more Accurate swag and giveaways.

Jackpot as follows:

1st place: Pat Patrykus 349lb yellowfin tuna
2nd place: Ron Bryan 324lb yellowfin tuna
3rd place: Joe Machado 323lb yellowfin tuna

It was quite a line up this morning! Check out jackpot pics with winners and Accurate
(winners hoist picture taken by Bill Roecker) + pics taken during the trip from the boat.

The boat called tonight to fill us in with the details of their final fishing hours on this Accurate 12 day trip. They ended with an action-packed morning and were once again fortunate enough to hook a few big ones, but unfortunately only landed one of those. Kohei Kikuchi brought in a beautiful 245lber and at one point in the battle it became evident that there was a little more than luck involved with this catch. They are grateful...... Read More
