The 2017 tuna season keeps on rolling. Overnight trips are still catching Bluefin Tuna and Yellowtail in US waters and now a new area of 30# to 100# Bluefin has popped up down the Baja coast. The New Lo-An and Vagabond have trips scheduled to fish the lower Bluefin zone this week. Please see their schedules below.
The New Lo-An departs Tuesday night for a 1½ day Baja coast / Freelance trip. Ticket price is $325 and includes your Mexican fishing permit, tourist visa and bunk. This trip requires a valid passport or passport card to board the boat.
The New Lo-An departs Thursday night for an overnight trip. Ticket price is $210 and is fishing in US waters. A California fishing license is additional.
The Vagabond departs Friday night for a 1½ day Bluefin Tuna trip. Ticket price is $375 and includes your meals, Mexican fishing permit and bunk. No passport needed for this trip. This trip has a 5:00pm departure time and is heading to the lower Bluefin zone. Make sure to include a rod with 80# or 100# line in your arsenal.
The New Lo-An also departs Friday night for a 1½ day Baja coast / Freelance trip. Ticket price is $325 and includes your Mexican fishing permit, tourist visa and bunk. This trip requires a valid passport or passport card to board the boat.
Upcoming local trips:
The DAILY DOUBLE is running local 1/2 day trips at 8:30 am. Ticket price is $48 for adults, $40 for seniors or active duty military and $35 for juniors 15 and under. California fishing license and equipment rentals are extra.
The Mission Belle is currently scheduled to fish the Coronado Islands. Ticket price is $150 for adults, $140 for juniors, seniors and active duty military. Ticket price also includes a tourist visa and Mexican fishing permit. A valid passport or passport card is required for all passengers going on this trip.
