I was looking four-day trip next season for yellowfin and some good-eating albies. I've never been on the Excel. Any thots or time of season for what I'm looking for? Hi, Greg: Probably June, July or August for YFT??and AT. If you haven't been aboard Excel I'd recommend it. Or on the Independence. Both are large and sweet. When it comes to the first-line boats, it's all good. If you can get away for five days you'd get more and better fishing time, likely. And if you go in June you might get a little better price. That's my thots, anyway.
