"There's some good bird schools fishing not far from the harbor," said Daily Double owner-operator Fred Huber at Pt. Loma Sportfishing December 20. "The birds are on anchovies, and bonito and mackerel are at the surface by the schools. Sand bass are underneath the action, and there are a lot of small calico bass down there, too."
