Capt. Jonathan on the Endeavor called in this morning with 9 Bluefin Tuna on board in the 80-100lb class and 1 Yellowfin Tuna approximately 60lbs.
The majority of the fish were caught on Shimano Flat Fall Jigs. Rigging the Flat Falls with a short fluorocarbon leader (100#) will greatly increase your chances of landing one of these brutes if they inhale your jig.
We also had the Voyager call in from their trip. They have limits of bluefin for their six anglers. Half the fish are in the 10-15 pound range, and the other half are in the 40-70 pound range.
The Apollo just called in and informed us they have just put a Bluefin on the boat over 200lbs!

Tuesday 8/30/16 12 noon Capt. Steve on the Pride called to let us know that they had 7 Bluefin Tuna on board in the 40 to 90lb class and 7 Yellowfin Tuna ranging in size from 30 to 100lbs. Captain Dave on the Tribute reported 16 Bluefin Tuna up to 90lbs along with 5 Yellowtail and 1 Yellowfin Tuna.
