Capt. Steve P. from the Mission Belle called in with 38 Yellowtail in the 18-25 pound range, 55 Barracuda and 2 Sand Bass from his ¾ day private charter. The 3/4 day boat Mission Belle is scheduled to fish the Coronado Islands on a daily basis. Trips depart at 6am and return around 6pm. These trips are fishing for Yellowtail, Barracuda and Rockfish. If the Bluefin are within range, there’s always a chance for them too. Please remember ALL PASSENGERS need a passport for fishing at the islands.
The Dominator has overnight trips scheduled for next week. The first trip departs on Sunday April 17th and will be targeting Bluefin Tuna and Yellowtail. Ticket price is $205.00 which includes your bunk and Mexican fishing permit. California license will be additional. Fishing has been very good on 15# to 25# tuna. Tackle recommendation: 20# fluorocarbon with size 1 to 1/0 hooks.
The ½ day boat Daily Double is still fishing 8am-3pm Mon-Fri. Weekend trips are from 6:30am to 12:30pm and 1pm to 6:30pm. Bass, Rockfish, Sculpin and Lingcod have been the main species taken lately but they’re starting to see a few Yellowtail mixed in as well.
