11/20/2015 11:45am - The San Diego calls in from their 3/4 Day trip with 70+ yellowfin tuna. Most of the fish range from 12-20#. Some of the bigger grade have been sighted, but none on the boat yet. The San Diego is chartered tomorrow, but back online for Sunday. Forget turkey for Thanksgiving, this year it's yellowfin!

Never mind that pop tarts were created on this day in 1965; the San Diego is returning from its three quarter day trip with 141 yellowfin tuna, 1 dorado, 27 skipjack and 1 yellowtail. The yellowfin are up to 40lbs with the average fish being 15-25lbs. They ate the anchovy on 15-25lb test and #2-1/0 hooks. The San Diego departs daily at 5:30am.
